My back ground:


More than 45 years almost completely dedicated to the swine production:

-          The first 10 years as manager for animal productions of a feed manufacturer

-          The last 12 years as Managing director of the PROVIMI France Swine department.


     Gilles LANGEOIRE French, 68 years old, is an agronomist, who dedicated 45 years of his career to feed industry. He works today as a Consultant and swine nutritionist for feed compounders, home mixer farmers, feed additives companies… 
     Gilles LANGEOIRE worked as a technical manager for the major nutrition companies in France (UFAC, INVIVO NSA, PROVIMI…), working on the inner pig feed market and abroad, mainly South Europe and Asia. His major contributions to animal nutrition  concerned net energy supplying for growing pigs and sows, new fibres approach in the pig nutrition, piglets, growing pigs and sows, specific feeding management of Chinese blood sow breed, environmental issues (protein and phosphorus residues) and the use of different feed additives: 
                 - Enzymes (pentosanases for piglets),
                 - Phytases, 
                 - Polyphenols as anti oxidant.

     During all these years he was specifically in charge of:

-       The swine nutrition concepts, doing experiments and acting for development,

-       The study and determination of the swine general needs, feed formulation and specifics feed specifications,

-       The pig feed premix and feed additives’ creation and development 
     
     Specialist in pig nutrition Gilles LANGEOIRE was a member of the Scientific Committee of IFIP (French Institute for pig production), and is still in close contact with the main INRA and IFIP Researchers.
